Journey to the Past

Today, I worked at the office. After a morning spent in never-ending meetings, lunchtime came rightly as a savior. But there was some place I wanted to visit before eating lunch, so I left the office building. The distance to my destination was a 15-minute-long walk under the rain to the warping gate, followed by 10 seconds of warping time. Previous lifetime

Some mornings, I wake up standing there, always in the same place deep in this luminescent forest. This has been happening every now and then ever since the end of summer, or rather the beginning of fall. The memories of the dreams I make before waking up in the middle of iridescent trees fade away as soon as I open my eyes. As I try to hold onto the evanescent memories of what felt like regretful dreams, all that remains is but a sense of profound loss.

The city of Sacred-Heart has a particular urban organization. At the center of the city, a huge composite building, Babylon, was erected on what used to be an emerald-colored hill in ancient times. Babylon was made up of a pile of constructions built progressively at different times of human history. Thus many different architectures coexist - baroque, industrial, gothic, neoclassical, etc. It spans over such an extended area that Babylon could be seen as a city of its own.

Conversations all seem vacuous and express nothing but false pretenses. How can our society move forward at a time when all discussions turn to hysterical clashes where everybody tries to shoot the adversary down with shameless lies and ridiculous entitlements?

The anticipation I’ve recently been reading the novel The Sorrows of Young Werther written by Goethe in the XVIII th century. What’s interesting to know is that the story is directly based on the author’s own experience, it was written shortly after the events described in the novel. The novel is a series of letters which the narrator sends to a mysterious friend. The friend’s replies remain unknown throughout the whole story.

Recently I watched the movie “Never Let Me Go” directed by Mark Romanek, starring Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield and Keira Nightley. I don’t remember why I chose this movie specifically. Beginning

I can’t count the number of times I was disappointed by the course of actions and endings of any books or movie. It seems that is it far easier to create a promise than to fulfill the glimpse of potential that was once given to the reader. Or is it that maybe the process of creating truly new and appealing artistic content is long and harsh, such that artists spend more time thinking about the premises and concept of a story but don’t when it comes to extend their work because they are tied by hard deadlines.

Simple

I recently witnessed an unreal case of over convoluting while tackling an issue. We had this project where the solution adopted was excessively complicated. Introduction Is the weather essential in building human relationships? As a child, I used to rejoice when going for a walk when the weather was rainy. But as I grew up, I started to prefer when the weather was ’nice’. How is it that the weather being ’nice’ means to be sunny in a deep blue sky for the majority of people. This mere personal experience had me wonder for years whether people liking a sunny weather better was due to social upbringing or whether humans naturally yearned for a walk under the green wood during a sunny afternoon in May with some friendly company.

Some mornings, I wake up standing there, always in the same place deep in this luminescent forest. This has been happening every now and then ever since the end of summer, or rather the beginning of fall. The memories of the dreams I make before waking up in the middle of iridescent trees fade away as soon as I open my eyes. As I try to hold onto the evanescent memories of what felt like regretful dreams, all that remains is but a sense of profound loss.
