The Mentor
Who could imagine that a small Chicago boy like me would one day become the president of the United States of America? At the time, I was merely a high-school kid, but Chris was the one person that bet everything on me and tutored me all these years.
Thanks to him, I learned to develop a critical mindset, be confident in myself, and deliver impactful speeches in public. But the most important quality that he taught me was not like any of the previous skills, he taught me how to understand and trust people, which is with no doubt what made me win the election twice.
Hence, when I became elected as the next president, it was clear to me that I should ask him the Secretary of State knowing all his experience on geopolitics and international relationships. But he refused, saying that his generation has had their time. He wanted to trust the new generation to build a better future. He is undoubtly one of these truly skillful people who can surprise you with the most elegant and unique ideas.
