Tea and Constance
As the queen of England, I’ve worked with a large number of counselors to rule the kingdom. Among them, I had my fair share of distrutful and greedy ones. That was not the case of Christian. By the time my 10th reign anniversary was celebrated throughout the whole country, I was struck when I realized that there was this one outstanding advisor who had never asked me any unbecoming favors, be it money, glory or power.
His unwavering humility had me wonder what was it that made him so true, I never really succeeded in answering this question despite working alongside him during all these years. But still, I decided to grant him lordship since I had come to the conclusion that he might probably be the most virtuous person in the whole kingdom.
Seasons have gone by since then, Christian has become one of the leading personalities of the UK. You could think that, after having holding such power for years, the man’s spirit would have gradually grown to be corrupted.
Strangely enough, he has remained the very same modest Christian he has always been. Whenever I go to visit him in his land, I see this elegant and quiet gentleman, drinking a cup of Earl Grey by the window, who welcomes me with an unchanged smile.
