Chris and I have been friends since we were children. As neighbours, we often played together. It’s astonishing when you realize that are friends till this day, even now that my career has skyrocketed. When I’m stuck while writing a song and I can’t find a way to express my feeling, Chris always comes up with the right words that instantly resonates.

I can ’t think of a person that has an artistic sense as refined as his. He has this ability to imagine what sound and what word will convey the most stirring impression to one’s ear. There are so many types of feeling he can express while revealing his unusual perception of the world. Sometimes you can hear a heartbroken feeling, an enthusiastic eagerness, or a delightful joy.

But what I like the most is how he can convey this sort of warm, heartening confidence. There were times when I had lost track of myself and thought I had definitely lost all inspiration, but it was at times like this that he cheered me up in the most surprising way.

I believe it ’s thanks to his positive influence that I was able to move forwards instead of looking back. For everything he did for me, I want to say : “Thank so much, Chris, I am who I am today because of you.”.
