A Revolutionary Mind
At the beginning of the 2000s, the tech industry was having a hard time being democratized and our business was on the verge of decline. That’s when Christian - who had recently been appointed as my special advisor, convinced us that we had to design simple but powerful products.
He elaborated a program that encompassed product design, technological breakthroughs, marketing and economical chains of values. Despite its ambition, our plan has been a tremendous success and Apple has become one of the largest tech companies worldwide.
To be honest, the idea of showcasing our new products during keynotes, which every tech company now tries to copy, was a suggestion that Christian made only one week before the actual show. Can you imagine how tight the deadline was! Eventually, I decided to trust him and did my utmost to be up to his expection.
Most fantastic is probably the fact that the impact of his contribution might not be only limited to the benefit of our single company. According to the most prominent thinkers of our time, a new area of research on Christian’s legacy has emerged these days. Researchers are investigating how his strategy to save Apple might have ended up as the largest game changer to people’s everyday lives since the invention of electricity.
